1. มุ่งเน้นที่คณิตศาสตร์อย่างเดียวหรือเปล่า

เราเชี่ยวชาญคณิตศาสตร์อย่างเดียวซึ่งหมายถึงทำให้เราทุ่มเทเพื่อการพัฒนาหลักสูตรอย่างต่อเนื่องเพื่อให้ผลลัพทธ์สูงสุดและเป็นสถาบันคณิตศาสตร์ที่ดีที่สุด

ไม่ใช่

บางสถาบันสอนหลายวิชา เช่น คณิตกับวิทย์ คณิตกับอังกฤษ หรือสอนแทบทุกวิชา ความจริงแล้วไม่มีสถาบันไหนที่สามารถเชี่ยวชาญในทุกๆ วิชาได้
2. สอนหลักสูตรนานาชาติโดยเฉพาะหรือไม่

เราเป็นสถาบันเดียวในประเทศไทยที่ครอบคลุมหลักสูตร English Program (EP), Mini EP, Bilingual, หรือหลักสูตร Inter ทั้งหลักสูตร USA, UK, IB, Singapore, Australia ซึ่งเป็นโจทย์คณิตศาสตร์ภาคภาษาอังกฤษโดยเฉพาะ

สถาบันส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นหลักสูตรที่เป็นโจทย์ภาษาไทย ไม่สอดคล้องกับภาษาที่ใช้สอนในโรงเรียน ทำให้เด็กสับสนในการวิเคราะห์โจทย์ได้ บางสถาบันก็สอนปนกันระหว่างไทยกับอินเตอร์ ซึ่งไม่เชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะด้านเหมือน InterMath
3. มีสอนครบทุกระดับชั้นหรือไม่

เนื่องจากเรามีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านคณิตศาสตร์แบบครบวงจร เราจึงมีหลักสูตรตั้งแต่ระดับอนุบาลประถมศึกษา มัธยมศึกษา จนถึงการสอบเข้าระดับมหาวิทยาลัยในทุกระดับทั้งหลักสูตร EP/ Inter

สถาบันส่วนใหญ่สอนระดับประถมอย่างเดียวบ้าง มัธยมอย่างเดียวบ้าง หรือเน้นสอบเข้าอย่างเดียวบ้าง ทำให้เด็กขาดช่วงการเรียนและต้องเปลี่ยนที่เรียนไปเรื่อยๆ ไม่ต่อเนื่อง
4. มีการสอนทักษะทางคณิตศาสตร์ครบทุกด้านหรือไม่

เราสอนทั้งการวางรากฐานทฤษฎี (concept) ให้แน่นผ่านกิจกรรมกลุ่มและการใช้อุปกรณ์ พร้อมทั้งแบบฝึกหัดทั้งการคำนวน คณิตคิดในใจ คณิตคิดเร็ว การวิเคราห์และแก้โจทย์ปัญหา ครบทุกทักษะเพื่อให้เด็กเก่งคณิตศาสตร์รอบด้านอย่างแท้จริง

บางสถาบันเน้นแต่คณิตคิดเร็วเพียงอย่างเดียวแต่กลับวิเคราห์โจทย์ปัญหาไม่เป็น เหมือนมีเครื่องคิดเลขติดตัว แต่ไม่สามารถแก้โจทย์ได้ บางสถาบันก็เน้นแต่การแก้โจทย์ปัญหาโดยการวาดรูปแต่ขาดทักษะการคำนวนพื้นฐาน ทำให้เด็กมีทักษะเพียงบางด้านเท่านั้น
5. แบ่งห้องตามชั้นเรียนของเด็กหรือไม่

เราแบ่งห้องเรียนตามชั้นเรียนของเด็ก ไม่มีการสอนคละชั้น ซึ่งจะทำให้การเรียนการสอนมีคุณภาพสูงสุด

สถาบันส่วนใหญ่ไม่ได้แบ่งเด็กตามชั้นเรียน มีเด็กคละอายุเรียนปนกัน ต่างคนต่างทำโจทย์ของตัวเอง ไม่มีการเรียนรู้หรือทำกิจกรรมร่วมกัน ทำให้เด็กเบื่อ ไม่สนุก ขาดการแบ่งปันความคิดระหว่างกลุ่ม
6. เรียนเป็นกลุ่มเล็กหรือไม่

ใช่ จากการวิจัยพบว่า การเรียนคณิตศาสตร์เป็นกลุ่มย่อมได้ผลสำหรับเด็กมากกว่าการเรียนแบบเดี่ยวที่อาจเหมาะกับเด็กที่อ่อนมากๆ หรือเด็กพิเศษ เพราะจะได้ทำกิจกรรมกลุ่มหรือระดมความคิดในการวิเคราะห์โจทย์ร่วมกันกับเพื่อน ทำให้สนุก แต่ต้องไม่เกิน 6 คนต่อหนึ่งชั้นเรียน ครูจะสอนและดูแลน้องๆ เต็มเม็ดเต็มหน่วย และเด็กรู้สึกสนุกผ่านกิจกรรมกลุ่มที่หลากหลาย

การเรียนตัวต่อตัวที่บ้านหรือสถาบันทั่วไปที่จะเรียนแบบเดี่ยวโดยมีนักเรียนหลายคนอยู่ในห้องเดียวกัน เด็กจะรู้สึกเบื่อ ไม่สนุก ขาดแรงจูงใจเชิงกลุ่ม ไม่รู้จักเพื่อนต่างโรงเรียน ไม่มีการทำกิจกรรมร่วม ไม่มีการเล่นเกมส์กลุ่ม ระหว่างที่ครูสอนคนอื่นอยู่ น้องๆ ต้องรอจนกว่าจะถึงคิวตัวเอง เพราะแต่ละคนเรียนกันคนละบทเรียน และไม่ได้สอนเราเต็มเม็ดเต็มหน่วย
7. มีคุณครูนำการสอนในห้องหรือไม่

ครูจะสอนทฤษฎีโดยใช้หลักการสอนของสิงคโปร์ที่ถูกยกย่องว่าดีที่สุดในโลก (World-Class Math System) ตามด้วยแบบฝึกหัดที่ถูกออกแบบมาอย่างดีระดับโลก

บางสถาบันเน้นให้เด็กทำแต่แบบฝึกหัด แบบฝึกหัดและแบบฝึกหัด ครูไม่ได้สอนทฤษฎีแต่อย่างใด ทำให้เด็กไม่สามารถแก้ปัญหาโจทย์ได้อย่างลึกซึ้ง พื้นฐานก็ไม่แน่น ได้แต่เรื่องการคำนวนพิ้นฐานเท่านั้น
8. ครูมีคุณวุฒิระดับสูงหรือไม่

เพื่อให้เป็นสถาบันคณิตศาสตร์ที่ดีที่สุด ครูทุกคน ตั้งแต่ครูใหญ่ ฝ่ายวิชาการและครูผู้สอนล้วนเป็นหัวกระทิทั้งสิ้น ทุกคนจบปริญญาตรี โท เอก จากมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำในประเทศ (จุฬา, ธรรมศาสตร์, มหิดล) และต่างประเทศ (UK, USA) ด้วยเกียรตินิยม มีประสบการณ์สอนเด็กนานาชาติ และมีใจรักการสอนเด็ก เราจึงยอมให้ค่าตอบแทนครูเหล่านี้สูงที่สุดในท้องตลาด

ทั้งๆที่ครูเป็นองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญสูงสุดในการให้เด็กเข้าใจในบทเรียนและทำให้เด็กเก่งคณิตศาสตร์ บางสถาบันให้ค่าตอบแทนครูที่ต่ำ โดยคำนึงแต่ผลกำไรทางธุรกิจเป็นหลัก ไม่ได้คัดสรรครู บางสถาบันใช้นักศึกษาปี 3-4 เป็นครูด้วยซ้ำ บางสถาบันจ้างครูคอยคุมการทำโจทย์ของน้องๆ โดยไม่มีการสอนขึ้นกระดานเลย
9. มีหนังสือประกอบการสอนหรือไม่

ใช่

เราคัดสรรหนังสือที่โรงเรียนอินเตอร์ชั้นนำทั่วโลกใช้ประกอบการสอน และมีแบบฝึกหัดเสริมเป็นชีทเอกสารเพิ่มเติมในห้องเรียนอีกด้วย

สถาบันส่วนใหญ่แจกชีทให้เด็กทำแต่แบบฝึกหัดโดยไม่มีหนังสือแต่ประการใด บางแห่งก็ใช้หนังสือที่ใช้เฉพาะในสถาบันตัวเองซึ่งอาจขาดการยอมรับในระดับนานาชาติ
10. โจทย์ที่ให้ทำหลากหลายวิธีการหรือไม่

เรามีทั้งแบบเขียน ให้เด็กตอบในห้องเพื่อตรวจสอบวิถีคิดของเด็ก และตะลุยโจทย์ผ่านแบบฝึกหัดออนไลน์ซึ่งคิดค้นโดยมหาวิทยาลัยชั้นนำของโลก ซึ่งมีที่ Intermath แห่งเดียวเท่านั้น

สถาบันส่วนใหญ่เน้นให้เด็กทำโจทย์ผ่านการเขียน เขียน และ เขียน โดยที่ทำให้เด็กเบื่อ เราไม่รู้เด็กคิดวิธีการแก้โจทย์อย่างไร รู้เพียงว่าคำตอบถูกหรือผิดเท่านั้น
11. มีอุปกรณ์ประกอบการสอนหรือไม่

สถาบันส่วนใหญ่เน้นให้เด็กอยู่กับหนังสือ เอกสาร หรือ worksheet ทำให้เด็กไม่ได้จับหรือสัมผัส ซึ่งทำให้เด็กขาดจินตนาการ ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ในการแก้ปัญหาโจทย์คณิตศาสตร์
12. บรรยากาศในการเรียนสนุกหรือไม่

ด้วยอุปกรณ์และกิจกรรมกลุ่มที่คัดสรรมาอย่างดี ทำให้เด็กมีทัศนคติที่ดีและรักวิชาคณิตศาสตร์ ไปตลอดชีวิต (Happy Learning Environment)

14. ระยะเวลาเรียนต่อคาบเหมาะสมหรือไม่

จากการวิจัยที่ทำให้เด็กไม่เบื่อหรือเครียดในการเรียนวิชาคำนวน คือ ไม่ควรเกิน 70 นาที ถ้าอยากเก่งก็สามารถทำแบบฝึกหัดที่บ้านได้ทุกวัน

บางสถาบันเรียนแค่ 45 นาทีซึ่งสั้นไป บางแห่งก็เรียนถึง 1.5-2 ชั่วโมง ก็นานไปสำหรับเด็ก ทำให้เด็กเครียดและจะส่งผลในแง่ลบต่อเด็กในระยะยาว
15. มีการบ้านสนุกให้ทำหรือไม่

เราปฎิเสธควมจริงไม่ได้ที่ว่าเด็กจะเก่งคณิตศาสตร์ต้องทำแบบฝึกหัดทุกวันๆ ละนิดหน่อย แต่ต้องสนุก มีรางวัลเป็นแรงจูงใจ แบบฝึกหัดออนไลน์ของเราครอบคลุมกว่า 1,000 ทักษะทางคณิตศาสตร์คิดค้นโดยมหาวิทยาลัย Harvard, Stanford, และ Oxford เริ่มจากข้อง่ายไปยาก และมีโจทย์ทำอย่างไร้ขีดจำกัด พร้อมเก็บบันทึกคะแนนของน้องแต่ละคนไว้ด้วย สามารถเล่นผ่าน IPAD ซึ่งน่าจูงใจเด็กมากกว่าบนกระดาษ ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้นสถาบันไม่มีการบังคับให้เด็กต้องส่งการบ้านใดๆ ทั้งสิ้น

บางสถาบันมีการบ้านที่หนักเกินไป ทำทุกวันบนกระดาษ ซึ่งเด็กก็มีการบ้านจากที่โรงเรียนเยอะอยู่แล้ว ไม่สนุก เด็กเบื่อ บางสถาบันก็พาลไม่มีการบ้านซะเลยเพราะกลัวเด็กเบื่อ แล้วเด็กจะเก่งได้อย่างไร ถ้าไม่ได้ฝึกคิดฝึกทำบ่อยๆ เพราะคณิตศาสตร์คือทักษะที่ต้องใช้บ่อยๆ ถ้าไม่ใช้จะลืมและไม่เกิดความชำนาญ
16. มีระบบแจ้งผลการเรียนหรือไม่

เรามี software คอยติดตามผลการเรียนของน้อง โดยการบันทึกคะแนนการทดสอบ คำตอบถูกผิดในแบบฝึกหัดที่ทำ พร้อมบันทึกทักษะที่เป็นจุดอ่อนและจุดแข็งของเด็กแต่ละคน และพร้อมรายงานผลให้ผู้ปกครองทราบอย่างต่อเนื่อง

สถาบันส่วนใหญ่ไม่ได้ดูแลเด็กและผู้ปกครองอย่างเป็นจริงเป็นจัง ไม่ให้ความสำคัญของวันเกิดของน้อง ไม่มีการสื่อสารกับผู้ปกครองผ่าน sms, email, Facebook, Twitter เหมือน InterMath มิหนำซ้ำบางสถาบันไม่อนุญาตให้น้องเอาชีทกลับบ้าน ทำให้ผู้ปกครองไม่รู้ว่าลูกเรียนอะไรและเก่งในระดับใดอย่างแท้จริง
17. ที่ตั้งของสถาบันเหมาะสมหรือไม่

ติวสอบ IGCSE

หลักสูตร International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) ถูกจัดทำสำหรับนักเรียน
ที่มีอายุระหว่าง 14 – 16 ปี ให้ได้รับวุฒิการศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลายซึ่งเป็นเงื่อนไขสำคัญ
สำหรับศึกษาต่อในระดับที่สูงขึ้น เช่น หลักสูตร AS, A Level, International Baccalaureate (IB)
หรือเพื่อศึกษาต่อระดับมหาวิทยาลัย สำหรับประเทศไทย หากผู้สอบสามารถสอบผ่านหลักสูตร IGCSE
ผู้สอบสามารถนำผลที่สอบได้ใน 5 รายวิชาที่ได้ไม่ต่ำกว่า C ไปขอเทียบวุฒิการศึกษาและนำเอกสาร
การเทียบวุฒิยื่นสมัครศึกษาต่อในมหาวิทยาลัยได้

หลักสูตร IGCSE เป็นหลักสูตรที่ได้รับการยอมรับจากนานาชาติ ในปัจจุบันมีผู้ศึกษาในหลักสูตรดังกล่าว
กว่า300,000 คนต่อปีจากกว่า 100 ประเทศทั่วโลก หลักสูตร IGCSE เป็นหลักสูตรที่มีวิชาต่างๆให้ผู้ศึกษา
สามารถเลือกเรียนได้ ผู้สอบสามารถเลือกทำข้อสอบวัดความรู้ในเนื้อหาวิชาแบบ Core (พื้นฐาน) หรือ
แบบ Extended (ขั้นสูง) เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับความรู้ของผู้สอบที่แตกต่างกัน โดยผู้สอบที่เลือกสอบแบบ

ติวสอบ SAT

SAT มีชื่อเต็มว่า SAT Reasoning Test เดิมย่อมาจาก Scholastic Aptitude Test และภายหลังเปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น
Scholastic Assessment Test หรือที่รู้จักทั่วไปว่า "SAT I" เป็นการสอบวัดระดับทักษะการใช้เหตุผล
และการสื่อสารที่จำเป็นสำหรับการเรียนในระดับปริญญาตรีในมหาวิทยาลัย การวัดและประเมินผล
ข้อสอบ SAT นั้นเป็นการวัดทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์และการแก้ไขปัญหา ซึ่งมีความจำเป็นสำหรับการศึกษา
ในระดับมหาวิทยาลัย ข้อสอบ SAT นั้นจึงเป็นแบบทดสอบมาตรฐานสำหรับนักเรียนในระดับมัธยมศึกษา
ตอนปลาย (High School) ในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกามักจะต้องสอบเพื่อนำผลคะแนนไปสมัครเรียนในระดับ
มหาวิทยาลัยต่อไป

ข้อสอบ SAT ประกอบไปด้วยแบบทดสอบ 3 ส่วน ได้แก่

1) Mathematics เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับ Arithmetic, Algebra และ Geometry เป็นหลัก
2) Critical Reading เนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับ Sentence Completion และ Passage-based Reading ทั่วไป
3) Writing ซึ่งเป็นการเขียน Essay และการทำข้อสอบ Multiple-choice เกี่ยวกับ Sentence Errors

ในแต่ละส่วนจะมีคะแนนเต็มส่วนละ 800 คะแนน คะแนนเต็มทั้งหมดของ SAT จึงเท่ากับ 2,400 คะแนน

ในประเทศไทย ผลสอบ SAT สามารถนำไปยื่นสมัครเข้าศึกษาต่อในหลักสูตรนานาชาติหลายหลักสูตร
ในหลายมหาวิทยาลัย เช่น จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยหรือมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ โดยผลสอบ SAT
ถือเป็นหนึ่งในสิ่งที่กรรมการคัดเลือกนักศึกษาให้ความสำคัญมากที่สุด หลักสูตรที่เป็นที่นิยมมักต้องการ
คะแนน SAT ไม่ต่ำกว่า 1,000-1,100 คะแนนขึ้นไปโดยนับเฉพาะคะแนนในส่วน Mathematics และ Critical
Reading เท่านั้น เนื่องจากมหาวิทยาลัยของไทยส่วนใหญ่มักจะไม่พิจารณาผลคะแนนในส่วน Writing
ยกเว้นบางหลักสูตร นอกจากนี้บางหลักสูตรพิจารณาผลสอบ SAT ในส่วน Mathematics เท่านั้น
โดยหลักสูตรที่เป็นที่นิยมมักต้องการผลคะแนนไม่ต่ำกว่า 600 คะแนน ในขณะที่บางหลักสูตรพิจารณา
ผลสอบ SAT ในส่วน Critical Reading เท่านั้นซึ่งก็มีกำหนดคะแนนขั้นต่ำตั้งแต่ 350 – 500 คะแนน
ซึ่งจะเห็นได้ชัดว่าแต่ละหลักสูตรต้องการผลสอบ SAT ที่แตกต่างกันออกไป ดังนั้นผู้สมัครจึงควร
